VA is currently looking for an Audio/Visual Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Client based out of Chantilly, VA is currently looking for an Audio/Visual Technician to work in their AV Commercial and Government Department. The candidate must be experienced in installation as well as troubleshooting. Candidates must have at least two years of direct commercial AV Technician experience.

JOB DUTIES:

* Transport and set up materials for installation.
* Installation, configuration, integration and testing of videoconferencing and audiovisual equipment
* Assemble and install displays, projectors, speakers, and other AV components.
* Read and interpret AV system drawings, schematics, and construction plans and install AV equipment to meet requirements as detailed in installation plans
* Install low voltage wiring and cable; solder and terminate connectors; wire equipment racks; and assemble equipment/devices using the appropriate supports/mounts
* Diagnose and troubleshoot AV equipment failures and make minor adjustments to audio visual equipment and systems.
* Provide basic troubleshooting of systems and identify problems. Seek guidance as necessary to find solutions
* Complete small projects within established timelines with guidance.
* Clean up job site.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities. Duties are, but not limited to;
1. Provide technical expertise involved in the installation and integration of AV equipment including display devices, projectors, VTC systems, fiber equipment, etc. as required.
2. Working knowledge of Crestron system, AMX, Cisco and Extron Products
3. Test completed systems and diagnose malfunctions. Make corrections to provide a functioning AV system
4. Perform specialized technical tasks in the operation and maintenance of complex audio video equipment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Must be able to access military bases
2. Ability to travel is highly desired.
3. 2-5 Years of AV Installation/Troubleshooting Experience in direct commercial companies.
4. Certifications in CTS or CTS-I A, Polycom, or any specific manufactuer is preferred.
5. Experience or ability to load Extron, Crestron and Biamp Code preferred. Candidates must have some working knowledge of Crestron AMX, Cisco, or Extron.
